Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) is a non-destructive test (NDT) typically used on ferrous materials to identify flaws in material, such as cracks.

Testing Process

Samples provided are prepared for testing by cleaning thoroughly, magnetic particles are applied to the part in sections. A strong magnetic force is applied to the part and the micro particles will gather in areas that could be determined as flaws. Our trained engineers will identify and provide reporting of any suspect areas.
